Shooting at drones

Post by Athetotheist »

Time to vent.

Apparently, there are people----including politicians----who actually want to shoot at drones being flown overhead.

If you shoot at something up in the air and miss, that bullet is going to come down somewhere.

Look up "Shannon's Law".

I think you've created a list of things that there should be common ground on changing. Probably a million different opinions on the solutions but when I look at your list I can't imagine why anyone would disagree... unless they're evil?
From what I understand, they're "freedoms" which a lot of countries don't have----and are glad they don't have.
I mean, that's good to hear for their sake. "A lot of countries"? Which ones?

Back to the OP and to eliminate the risk of falling bullets how about bringing the drones down with laser pointers?
Are you suggesting that falling bullets are worth the risk?
Definitely not I was suggesting laser pointers. Like what you'd use in a board room meeting before powerpoint.

Better health care.....name one; you'll have a pretty good chance.

Less gun violence.....just close your eyes and point to the map.

"Laser pointers can shoot down drones, especially high-performance drones. They can heat the drone, damage its wiring system, and interfere with the pilot's vision. However, using a laser pointer to interfere with a drone is illegal and you could be jailed or pay a hefty fine for the crime."
