Hey, as the title suggests I have no faith this will go ahead but wanted to voice the opinion anyway.

I think it would be great if we had a 'like button' attached to all posts, it would work similar to how the Facebook 'like' system works. If anyone likes a post or values it they can appreciate it in a more simple manner rather than a personal message every time JoeyK (or others) write a post. It could be anonymous or have the username attached, I just think it would be a great system for showing members how valuable some of their posts and opinions are.

What about people who dont have a facebook, or dont want this page showing up on their facebook?

Im not sure (granted I havent tried) having a facebook "like" button is good. Id prefer a generic forum only like.

It won't show up on your Facebook profile.

And I'm not sure if you need a FB account to like something. Could somebody check this?

Since the FB like option is not connected to Facebook, is there any way you could chance the icon? Instead of a blue and white "f," how about the DC icon?

But if you're not allowed to alter it -- say for copyright issues -- don't worry about messing with it. I wouldn't want my suggestion to cause problems.

The icon is generated by Facebook, so I can't change that.

Yes, someone might look at that one vote and think they should join and by voting they are doing the right thing.

I think I would like something that lets me select my face book friends to send the link to their wall and mine saying I like it or maybe unlike it.
