Why this creationist fuzz isn't happening anywhere else?
I live in Europe, and all this thing looks so ridiculous from here. Not even churches or religious fanatics go into such speculations. When the Berlusconi administration (Italy, right wing) pretended to ban the mention of Evolution from the first grades of schools, the scorn was so unanimous that they had to back off in shame, and this was probably the only incident remotely related to the issue.
So, why the U.S.A. is involved in this strange controversy?

Because of the general poor education in United States. Remember, most americans never leave the country, quite a deal of the know nothing bout the outside world. Not to mention the lacking knowledge of geography, maths and so forth. So, why the U.S.A. is involved in this strange controversy?
This, i would say, is the main reason. Ofcourse, im extremely "anti-american" when saying all these things, so dont listen to ME.

Scrotum might be right. I was going to post something along the same lines but I don't have any evidence and then my computer locked up in the middle of the post. I thought maybe God did it. But it is working again so maybe God didn't do it or changed his/her mind.
I think there are many other factors such as money, tv, revivalism, social control, and boredom. Look at some of the things that Bush says. I sometimes find it hard to believe he even went to school or can read.
We do seem to be isolated for a country with a lot of bombs and a huge war machine. We hardly have health care for mos of our people. I read some place that over 30,000 kids in this country die do to poverty every year but we are trying to spread "freedom" all over the world. We are actually debating if we should torture.

Thanks McCulloch for the web site now I have evidence and I am depressed. I am glad they can't agree on who to bomb next.

We hire people from other countries and use Yahoo maps.
So you can see we don't need those geography people all the time.
I have a flat world map.

trencacloscas I know I was laughing too. Even if it isn't really funny.
If it were not for a sense of humor and my pills I might go insane.
Those people in that video vote too. But it might have some thing to say for low voter turn out. It might be a blessing. Of course they are probably the ones that vote and cancel my vote.

Seems that in America the gap between the highly educated and the blatant ignorant is the widest imaginable.
