Those creationists' excuses are that just because you can't see it, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Apparently, you can't see bacteria because they're too small, and yet we have microscopes. We can't see certain chemical substances, yet we know they're there when we add other chemical substances to it. We can't see air or certain gases, yet when we add some catalysts or other substances, we get an explosion or some other sort of reaction. Blind people can't see color, yet there is a distinction because the wavelength a particular color exhibits is different from other colors. Science once again uses its objective perspective to support their claims, unlike creationists.

Like that 800lb gorilla, anywhere He wants.
Normally, I would have read the bible as a piece of fiction anyways, but I wanted to see what level you would be considering the bible. Do you see it as a moral piece?
There are parts of it that are moral pieces, parts that are history and quasi-history as seen by the Hebrews, parts that are song and poetry, and parts that are warnings.
You seem really sure that God did create us all, despite there being scanty evidence. Is it faith? I'm not saying you're wrong, I want to see if you do have a good reason for this. Unfortunately, all the other people that I've met personally are either not religious, didn't bother to tell me about their beliefs, or are creationists and fundamentalists. However, the other christians that I've talked to on forums also seemed to rely on faith, though they weren't as bad as the fundamentalists.
It is part reasoned faith, part personal experience, part hope, and a few snips and snails and puppy dog tails. That is what faith is made of.

800lb gorilla? What about it? You mean someone actually saw a gorilla materializing out of nowhere?

Well, fair enough. I don't know about the personal experience part, since the creationists I've talked to claimed they saw god. I've also heard it's just a brain problem. I, however, don't like to believe something that we can't be sure of, so I would rather not assume anything.

You have to lighten up a little… It is a reference to an old child’s joke.

Where does an 800lb gorilla sit? Anywhere it wants to.

Basically God would be the equivalent of that gorilla, where does He interfere? Anywhere He wants.

I am not endorsing this idea, just using it as an example.

A few million years ago God looked down on the Earth, waiting for intelligent life to appear so He could talk to someone or whatever. Unfortunately evolution was favoring large and stupid creatures, fun to watch for a bit, but really bad at conversation. God causes a mutation and slowly smart starts to take over the gene pool and poof, someone to talk to.

As you should, always be careful with voices in ones head. :P

I've never heard that one. Evolution doesn't necessarily favor large, stupid creatures--that depends on the environment. If it favors large, stupid creatures, a change in the environment may cause large, stupid creatures to have a higher death rate than the other creatures. If that's so, how come he only wants to talk to us?

Voices in my head? Well, if they were there, they're my own. Otherwise they would have made me believe God exists.

I was just making a simple example, as I said, I am not endorsing that idea...

As for only talking to us, I don't know that God is only talking to humans, God may be talking to everything, but since we can't communicate well with other species we can't tell if God is talking to them too.

The Bible deals only with humans, who knows if dolphins have their own "Bible"?

I see...Although a dolphin's "bible" would probably consist of waves and echoes. I don't believe he exists yet because he hasn't talked to me. But that's just me.

So you would say that God doesn’t talk to you?

Yes, God hasn't talked to me. If he "did", I would probably have a mental problem.
